I use a powdered pectin, which you can find in the baking aisle of most grocery stores. Make sure you mix the pectin thoroughly with some of the sugar, and then rain the mixture into your liquid, whisking vigorously. The pectin will clump up and not absorb if it is not added properly. Also make sure you are using enough pectin and sugar. Most packages come with basic recipes and instructions which include recommended amounts of produce, sugar and pectin.
